What to do if Something goes Wrong?

Hallo, I am Danielle and today we are talking about what happens if something goes wrong.  If some one sends you something that you find disturbing or you think it means take a screenshot. Then talk to an adult that you trust and delete the email or comment. Make sure to tell someone so they can help you solve it.

One of the things is that you need to ask perdition to use a photo that has someone else in it.  If you don’t it can lead to other things like cyberbully and the whole world can see it and other people might not like to be on the internet.

It is important to do something about bullying if it happens and not to bully people.  It is hurting other people.

Thank you for reading my post. Bye bye.

TWA Showcase 2023

Hoi, Its Danielle again. Last night we did something really fun. We got to do TWA Showcase for 2023. We have been working for the showcase for the whole term!! I am very proud of the work I have made.

When we came to the showcase it was so busy. I could see people everywhere. I saw everyone’s families all crowding around the work and smiling. My work was in Waitemata all on the table. The different pieces of work I had was, a newspaper, a paper clock, a story book I wrote, my charter from the story, my portrait, museum review and more.  There was also a booth where you have to interview your family about the neighborhood. There was one more station that was where you could draw a pattern that is a part of your culture for a mural that we are going to make outside of the changing rooms. Then outside next to the staffroom you could get your food that you ordered. There was samosa,  hot dog and ice- cream. It was so dark by the time we were getting food. It was a really fun night and I saw lots of my friends.

Thank you for reading my blog post. Have you done something like this before? When and why? I hope you have a good day. Bye bye

Novels

Hallo, Danielle again. It is term 2 now and we have done some exciting work.

This term we have been doing a novel study. I have been reading TAUPO BLOWS. It is about a story that two kids get left at home while there parents go out for lunch and the kids get left at home and than Mt Raupaho erupts. Than they meet this Guy named Guld who lives in the volcano. Guld is like made of rock and has smoke coming out of him. Than there is some other charter like Saradonga a snowman, Erie Hoo a spirt, caption the leader and more. They have to go through a volcano to save the town from being distributed by Skormatis. Do they save the town? This was a very surprising book. I expected it to be a factual book but it was not. There was a lot of things that happened that I did not see coming. I kind of wish it was factual book because I like when they make it factual. Each night we will read a chapter of are novel and we will have to do an activity about the chapter we read. We have a whole slideshow of  questions and actives. Here a link.

Thank you for reading my blog post. Have you read this book before? What is your review? Tot Ziens.

In The Trenches

Kia ora, My name is Danielle and my class is Waitemata, at Waikowhai primary school.

Last Thursday we got to have an amazing expiration of the trenches. But of course we did not go to the real trenches we did it in are class. It was like real trenches. What we did is: The teachers put up strings really really low down all over the room everywhere. The only class room that did not have it was Manukau so we can get out the door easy. The reason we put them so low was because we had to crawl underneath them.

The first activity we did was reading. We had to go under a table where there are some facts on a piece of paper.  We were in groups of 4 or 5. The papers were numbered 1-20. My groups number was 14. The order of when we say it. We had to take what was on the piece of paper and made it into are own words so it was easier to understand. Than we had to read it in front of the whole in of Waitemata, Manukau and Hauraki.

The next subject we did was maths. We were in trios for this activity. We got 2 sheets of paper. The first one had the wars on it, the years the wars were, how many people died and how many people were in the war. The second sheet had Math questions about the different wars. I really liked this activity.

After Morning tea we listened to a poem and got to lie on the ground. It was writing so we got to start writing our own poems about Anzac. We had to do it in books because in the olden day they did not have eclectics.  I like doing it in my Chromebook because if I want to change where a sentence is or words.

After that we got a story read to us. It was called:  It was a very interesting book. We went in groups

of 4 or 5.Than we got an instrument That we had to do to sound like a seen. We shared are proficients in front of the whole of Waitemata, Manukau and Hauraki. I think my group did a good job.

The last thing we did was pack up. We had to find a string to undo around the room and work with our Math buddies. It was actually very fun. I did two strings because we finish one kind of early. On the first string I did was saw Ms Najak and she gave us marshmallow fish. They were so yummy.

I really liked the day. Luckily I was wearing track pants so I did not get a carpet burn.

Thank you for reading my Blog post. Bye bye.
